This beer is the Belgian equivalent of a lawnmower beer. Patersbier is also known as enkel, meaning “single” in Dutch. This style is the lightest and most sessionable style of beer in the Trappist or abbey family. Traditionally, these pale ales were brewed exclusively for the monks to drink for daily sustenance. A blessing was given upon the pitching of our yeast giving our Patersbier the best possible start.
