Guinness-ish — S5B

As authentic as I can get it, using only roasted barley as the dark grain component, Burton water profile, and Irish Ale yeast, this stout is very drinkable and reminds me of my time in Ireland 2 years ago. Brew 036A. B: 3/21/2020 K: 4/4/2020 T: 4/4/2020

Tri-Cardia — S5B

  • Triple IPA
  • ABV: 10.1%
  • SRM: 7.0

Same base as Bi-Cardia. Additional fermentables added to boost ABV. Full bodied and delicious. Brew 037B. B: 3/28/2020 K: 4/11/2020. T: 4/15/2020

Beamish-ish — S5B

  • Dry Irish Stout
  • ABV: 4.1%
  • SRM: 37.0
  • OG: 1.041
  • FG: 1.010

Same base wort as 36A (Guinness-ish). Cold steeped dark grains (pale chocolate malt, crystal 120 malt, and chocolate wheat) added at beginning of fermentation. Hops added during primary fermentation as well. A bit bigger and more complex tasting than Guinness-ish. Brew 036B. B: 3/21/2020 K: 4/4/2020 T: 4/4/2020

Ginger Lime Cider 2 — S5B

  • Cyser
  • ABV: 6.31%

During fermentation a can of apple juice concentrate was added with more Fermax and amyloglucosidase to boost ABV. Very dry out of fermenter. AJ concentrate added to keg for backsweetening and ginger juice and lime juice added for the signature flavor. Delicious. B: 4/18/2020 K: 5/1/2020 T: 5/1/2020

Bi-Cardia — S5B

  • IPA
  • ABV: 5.7%
  • SRM: 5.0
  • OG: 1.061
  • FG: 1.018

Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale inspired. All Centennial hops. Hornidal Kveik yeast. Brew 037A. B: 3/28/2020. K: 4/11/2020 T: 4/13/2020
