Membership Terms
Last updated: October 12, 2026
These Membership Terms ("Terms") apply when you join, subscribe to, or manage a membership, club, or other subscription program (a "Program") through this site or any page hosted at mymug.club or by Taplist.io. Please read them before joining. By joining a Program, you agree to these Terms.
Who's who
Each Program — for example, a mug club — is created and operated by the bar, brewery, or other business named on its page (the "Business"). The hosted pages, membership records, messaging, and payment processing are provided by Splatboard LLC, the company behind mymug.club and Taplist.io ("Splatboard," "we," or "us").
That means when you join a Program, two relationships are created: your membership in the Program, which is between you and the Business, and your use of this platform, which is between you and us.
The Business's role and ours
The Business is responsible for the Program itself — its perks, rewards, discounts, events, mugs, and everything else delivered at the venue. We host the Program and process payments, but we do not operate the venue and cannot redeem perks on the Business's behalf. If you have a question about a perk or your experience at the venue, contact the Business using the contact information on its page. For billing or account questions, you can contact either the Business or our support team.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to join a Program. If a Program includes any alcohol-related benefit, you must also be of legal drinking age: 21 in the United States, or the legal drinking age where you live. Many Programs are operated by breweries, bars, and other venues that serve alcohol: membership never entitles you or anyone else to be served alcohol, and any alcohol-related perks are subject to applicable law and the Business's discretion. Your membership fee pays for membership in the Program; it is never a purchase of alcohol.
Your member account
We identify you by the name and contact information you provide, and you sign in with one-time codes sent to your email address or phone number. Keep your contact information accurate and protect access to it — anyone with access to your email or phone may be able to access your membership. You can review and revoke active sessions from your account page.
Payments and automatic renewal
When you buy a paid membership, Splatboard is the seller of record for the subscription charge, and the charge on your statement will appear as "Taplist.io"; the Business provides the Program and its benefits. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars, and where we or the Business must collect sales or similar taxes, they are added to the price shown before you pay. The price, billing cycle, and any renewal behavior are shown before you pay. If you join at a sale or promotional price, that price applies to your first billing period only and renewals are at the regular price, unless the Program's page says the promotional price continues on renewal.
If a Program renews automatically, we will charge your payment method at the start of each new period until you cancel. Before each renewal of an annual (or longer) membership we will email you at least 15 and no more than 45 days in advance with the renewal price, the renewal date, and how to cancel. If you joined at a promotional price, we will remind you 3 to 21 days before the first regular-price charge. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before your renewal date.
If the Business changes the price, we will notify you at least 5 business days and no more than 30 days before the change takes effect, with instructions for cancelling, and the new price applies from your next renewal. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it; if it cannot be collected, your membership may lapse.
Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription online at any time from your account page, with no further steps, and also by contacting the Business or our support team. Cancellation takes effect immediately for future charges; your membership and its benefits continue through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Refunds are issued by us from the Business's proceeds. Here is the refund policy for every Program:
- Renewals: if you cancel within 14 days after a renewal charge and have not used any Program benefits since that charge, we will refund the renewal.
- New memberships: if you cancel within 14 days after joining and have not used any Program benefits, we will refund your initial fee. Receiving your membership item, such as a mug, counts as using a benefit unless the Business's page says otherwise.
- Discontinued Programs: if the Business ends a Program before the end of a period you paid for, the Business will refund the unused portion through us; contact either of us to request it.
Other refunds are at the Business's and our discretion, except where applicable law requires otherwise. To request a refund, contact us or the Business.
Membership rules
Memberships are personal to you and non-transferable unless the Business says otherwise. The Business may publish additional rules for its Program (for example, how and when perks can be redeemed) on its page or at the venue; those rules are part of your membership. If they conflict with these Terms about the Program's benefits, the Business's rules control; for payments and use of this platform, these Terms control.
The Business may change a Program's benefits from time to time and will post changes on its page. If a change materially reduces the benefits you paid for, you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the current period.
You agree not to share your sign-in codes, misrepresent your identity or age, or use a membership for resale or fraud. The Business or we may suspend or cancel a membership for fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms or the Program's rules. If the Business or we cancel your membership for any other reason, you will receive a refund of the unused portion of the current period.
Messages from us and the Business
As part of your membership we send transactional messages — things like receipts, renewal reminders, and one-time login codes. The Business may also send you marketing messages, but only where you have consented; you can opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in an email, by replying STOP to a text message (or HELP for help), or by contacting us. Message and data rates may apply to text messages.
Your information
Our Member Privacy Notice describes how we handle your information. The Business also receives the information you provide and your Program activity, and is responsible for its own use of that information.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any Business, including anything that happens at a venue. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your membership will not exceed the greater of $50 or the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.
Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem, please contact us first — we will do our best to make it right. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict of law provisions, except where the consumer protection laws of your home state provide otherwise. To the extent permitted by law, you and we agree to bring claims against each other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action. This does not limit your right to bring qualifying claims in small claims court or to complain to a consumer protection agency.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you — for example by email or a notice on the Program's page — before the changes take effect. Changes do not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before they took effect. Your continued membership after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
